The success of Fire Emblem has increased the size of the developer

According to their updated business profile, the Japanese intelligent Systems developer has increased considerably since the number of 2011 employees. The success is attributable to the exclusive title of Nintendo Switch, Fire Emblem: Three Houses and the Mobile Title known under the Fire Emblem Heroes name, which has been a better money generator than expected. Fire Emblem: Three Houses has recorded the best sales sales figures of the story of the series, while Fire Emblem Heroes has won more money than any other Nintendo mobile game to date. The DLC and the updates continue to exit for both RPG titles, offering more content to impatient fans.

In 2011, Intelligent Systems had about 130 employees but with the recent success of Fire Emblem, the team went to 169 members according to their profile. This new figure includes 68 graphic designers and 63 programmers, 31% of employees being women. The critical acclamation of the recent episode of the main series, Fire Emblem: Three Houses, was an expected development, but we do not know anyone who could have predicted that the RPG tactical series would become the most successful Nintendo mobile IP.

Intelligent Systems is probably working on an upcoming title, which is currently the Fire Emblem remake initially planned for the 3DS that has been transferred to the Nintendo Switch. With nothing confirmed on the way, we can only speculate on what their growing development studio has planned for the RPG series fans. The team of 169 employees is the biggest that Intelligent Systems has opporporated, and it is nice to see that they invest more money on their team after the recent success of Fire Emblem.
